我們的守則

我們秉承「母乳餵哺為先」的原則 (“Breastfeeding First” principle),並遵循及支持《國際母乳代用品銷售守則》(世界衞生組織和聯合國兒童基金會於1980年頒佈),為產後女性提供量身定制的母乳餵哺解決方案及支援服務有效提高母乳餵哺的成功率。此外,我們積極提供持續性母乳教育及緊急母乳餵哺支援服務。

We uphold the “Breastfeeding First” principle to our patients and comply to the International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes (WHO/UNICEF) by providing tailor made lactation solution which is able to significantly improve their successful rate on breastfeeding. And we can offer a sustainable lactation education and urgent breastfeeding support as well.

國際認證泌乳顧問之專業行為準則

國際認證泌乳顧問之專業行為準則由八大原則組成,要求每位國際認證泌乳顧問需要:

1. 提供能保護、促進與支持母乳餵哺的服務
2. 盡職注意地行動
3. 保護客戶的機密
4. 向醫療團隊的其他成員正確且完整地報告
5. 使用獨立的判斷並避免利益衝突
6. 維持個人的正直
7. 堅持國際認證泌乳顧問所被期盼的專業標準
8. 遵行國際泌乳顧問認證委員會的紀律程序
國際認證泌乳顧問們應自行保證能依CPC 行動,以保護其客戶之利益及證明公眾對其之信任 。

Code of Professional Conduct (CPC) for IBCLCs

The CPC consists of eight principles, which require every IBCLC to:
1. provide services that protect, promote and support breastfeeding
2. act with due diligence
3. preserve the confidentiality of clients
4. report accurately and completely to other members of the healthcare team
5. exercise independent judgment and avoid conflicts of interest
6. maintain personal integrity
7. uphold the professional standards expected of an ibclc
8. comply with the iblce disciplinary procedures
IBCLCs are personally accountable for acting consistently with the CPC to safeguard the interests of clients and justify public trust.

Clinical management procedures

1a. 遵守「國際母乳代用品銷售守則」及世界衛生大會相關的決議-禁止向公眾通過廣告宣傳母乳代用品、奶瓶及奶嘴。
1a. Comply fully with the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes and relevant World Health Assembly resolutions-No advertising of breastmilk substitutes, feeding bottles and teats.
1b. 頒佈嬰兒餵哺的相關成文政策,並且能經常傳達至所有員工及家長。
1b. Have a written infant feeding policy that is routinely communicated to staff and parents.
1c. 建立持續監察及數據管理機制。
1c. Establish ongoing monitoring and data-management systems.
1d. 制定母乳餵哺護理的標準做法,並持續追蹤對母乳餵哺的支援。
1d. Make breastfeeding care standard practice and keep track of support for breastfeeding.
2. 確保員工有足夠的知識、能力和技巧來支援母乳餵哺。
2. Ensure that staff have sufficient knowledge, competence and skills to support breastfeeding.

Key clinical practices

3. 與孕婦及其家人討論母乳餵哺的重要性及其處理方法。

3. Discuss the importance and management of breastfeeding with pregnant women and their families.

4. 協助產後母嬰間有即時無障礙的肌膚接觸,推動母親儘快開始餵哺。

4. Facilitate immediate and uninterrupted skin-to-skin contact and support mothers to initiate breastfeeding as soon as possible after birth.

5. 協助母親從開始到維持餵哺的過程以及如何應對常見的問題,例如:檢查餵哺的姿勢和嬰兒含乳、吸吮的姿勢是否正確。

5. Support mothers to initiate and maintain breastfeeding and manage common difficulties, e.g. checking positioning, attachment and suckling.

6. 除有特殊醫療需要外,不給初生嬰兒提供任何母乳以外的食物或液體,如果母親未能餵哺母乳,應優先考慮捐贈的母乳餵哺。如果母親選用配方奶粉,我們會支援母親如何正確及安全地使用。

6. Do not provide breastfed newborns any food or fluids other than breast milk, unless medically indicated. Prioritize donor human milk when a supplement is needed and Help mothers who want to formula feed to do so safely.

7.令母嬰共處一室,實行全日24小時同聚的辦法,並確保生病的嬰兒能夠與母親共處。

7. Enable mothers and their infants to remain together and to practise rooming-in 24 hours a day and make sure that mothers of sick babies can stay near their baby.

8. 支援母親辨別及回應嬰兒的進食信號,例如:説明母親知悉嬰兒何時需要餵哺並且不限次數。

8. Support mothers to recognize and respond to their infants’ cues for feeding, e.g. help mothers know when their baby is hungry and not limiting breastfeeding times.

9. 輔導母親們使用奶瓶、奶嘴及安撫奶嘴,並且指明其中的風險。

9. Counsel mothers on the use and risks of feeding bottles, teats and pacifiers.

10. 協調出院後的安排,以確保嬰兒能得到及時看護,父母得到後續支援,並且協同社區工作以提高母乳餵哺的服務質素。

10. Coordinate discharge so that parents and their infants have timely access to ongoing support and care as well as work with communities to improve breastfeeding support services.
